Sharpness resolves cleanly wide open at T1.5, with skin tones treated gently rather than over-rendered. Flare is well suppressed but breaks into a soft, organic veil when pushed against hard sources, and the 18-blade iris keeps bokeh rounded and creamy through the falloff for clean subject separation. PL mount, geared focus and iris rings, and an image circle covering full frame and beyond at 46.3mm round out the build.
