Blackmagic Design URSA Cine Immersive
Built for stereoscopic capture, the URSA Cine Immersive shoots dual 8K paths through a fixed dual-lens system engineered specifically for Apple Immersive Video, with each eye recording in 12-bit Blackmagic RAW. The fixed geometry locks interocular spacing and convergence to spec, removing the alignment drift that plagues rig-based stereo setups and keeping both sensors in calibrated lockstep. Internal recording runs to high-capacity Blackmagic Media Module storage, with the body carrying the same sensor heritage and color science as the URSA Cine line for clean highlight handling and wide latitude. Onboard metadata bakes the immersive parameters directly into the BRAW file, so the head-mounted reprojection pipeline reads spatial data without manual conform. A purpose-specific tool for crews producing long-form immersive content where stereo precision and end-to-end RAW fidelity outweigh modular flexibility.
