Lomo OKC 18mm f/2.8
The Lomo OKC 18mm holds onto its Russian heritage with a rendering that leans cool and neutral, contrast that sits just shy of modern primes, and a sharpness that stays crisp at center while softening gently toward the edges. Flare comes through strongly when pointed into a source, throwing streaks and veiling haze that feel raw rather than engineered, while the out-of-focus field swirls and stretches at the frame's perimeter — a signature look that reads unmistakably anamorphic-adjacent despite being spherical glass. PL mount with geared focus and iris and an image circle tuned for Super 35, it covers cleanly without vignetting on standard sensors. A wide focal that rewards productions chasing texture and an Eastern-bloc optical signature over clinical correction. Lenses are currently not rehoused and are fairly fragile. Works best when a focus and iris motor is not needed. Lenses are not rehoused and can be fragile. Motors are not recommended.
